Julia’s birthday

Sunday was Julia’s birthday.

After breakfast (which I made) we went to Lymington and look round the shops. We were going to have afternoon tea their in the Stanwell Hotel but they couldn’t guarantee us seats when we wanted, so the Westover Hall Hotel in Milford-on-Sea was recommended to us.

This was a lovely hotel and Julia and I enjoyed a cup of coffee in the lounge before the family and friends arrived to join us for the afternoon tea.

We took over most of the lounge area of the hotel and spread ourselves out, eating sandwiches, scones, cakes and drinking cups of tea and coffee. We stuffed ourselves proper!

Whilst we were in Lymington, Julia bought a music birthday candle set from the pound shop, so the hotel staff kindly set it up with some ice cream truffles

Afterwards we attempted to go for a walk by the sea, but it was too windy and cold, so we gave up

There was also some game playing – judge for yourself 🙂
